VOYA is a bimonthly journal addressing librarians, educators, and other professionals who work with young adults. Although this resource mainly focuses on YA's, it contains many thought-provoking and innovative ideas that can be applied to any age group.

Wiki created by Richie Partington's LIBR 267 class just last spring.  Great resource for the relatively new genre of picture books for older readers.

Palo Alto Children's Library reading recommendations.  This is in the form of a wiki that allows kids to write their own book reviews, as well as space for librarian recommendations.  A nice idea to get students interacting with each other to stimulate reading interests.

Edutopia generally has thought-provoking articles about education and technology.  This one is no exception.

Knowledge Quest on the Web

The AASL online version of their association's print journal.  The March/April 2008 volume is all about Maps: The Why and Where and is excellent and timely for this class.

Is Google Making us Stupid?

An interesting article from The Atlantic.com about the mechanics of reading may be changing due to how the mind is adapting to Google

http://www.librarything.com/ is an awesom tool for a school librarian or for a classroom teacher. My kids booktalk all of their personal reading then add hooks, ratings, and tags. The kids consult it for ideas all the time.
